The direct emissions correspond to those greenhouse gases that are released "from the filling station/charging station to the wheel" (tank-to-wheel). The tank-to-wheel approach covers the chain of effects from the energy consumed (fuel, electrical energy6 ) to the conversion into kinetic energy in motor vehicles. Production, maintenance and disposal of the means of transport are not included in the calculation and are not included in the emission factors
