Heating oil extra light (fossil) (kWh), UBA Österreich, 2024

Updated yesterday

Description

Standard factors for fuels from the national greenhouse gas inventory (BMK, 2022b) are used to specify the direct CO2 emissions for heating oil extra light/light, natural gas (calorific value and calorific value) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Direct CH4 and N2O emissions are based on values from the IPCC 2006 Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (IPCC, 2006). The upstream GHG emissions of the energy sources heating oil, natural gas and liquid gas are calculated using GEMIS 5.1, based on the Study on actual GHG data for diesel, petrol, kerosene and natural gas (European Commission, 2015) and the publication Renewable fuels and energy sources in the transport sector in Austria 2022 (BMK, 2023).
